Bergner has offset the emission of 60,000 tons of CO2 in 2021
CeroCO2 is an initiative promoted by ECODES (Fundación Ecología y Desarrollo) and provides the necessary tools to calculate the carbon footprint to be able to take actions and reduce it and offset the emissions that have not been avoided.

Thanks to this, Bergner Europe has had the opportunity to capture the amount of CO2 equivalent to that generated by its travel activity and reduce the impact it causes on the climate through energy saving or efficiency projects. It has been calculated that in total Bergner has offset the emission of 60.000 tons of CO2.

The CeroCO2 offset projects carry out in developing countries. The project chosen by Bergner Europe this year has been Conservation of the Amazon Rainforest in Madre de Dios in Peru. This initiative was born with the objective of reducing deforestation, promoting the generation of benefits in the forest for local communities and increasing the surveillance of 100,000 hectares of forest, since the Peruvian Amazon is at great risk of deforestation, and current resources are not sufficient for its protection.
